Turmeric (curcuma longa) has been used by civilisations for centuries to help reduce arthritis pain and control the symptoms of inflammation and stiffness.

Turmeric is a yellowy-orange spice that is widely used in curries to give flavour and aroma.  It is obtained from the rhizome of the turmeric plant, a horizontal stem that grows underground.  The rhizomes are harvested, cleaned, boiled and allowed to dry naturally before being ground into powder.

The active compound in turmeric is curcumin, which is extracted from the powder and standardised at 95% (standardised means that the dose must contain the exact amount of active ingredients).

Our turmeric is combined with piperine to increase the amount of curcumin that can be absorbed by the body, and then put into vegetarian capsules so that you can take a daily dose easily, without staining your kitchen yellow!
